The anchor · one feeling

"I've got this."

A money-pressured operator feels in total command of their entire book at a glance. Every number legible, the back office visibly handled beneath them, calm enough to glance, decide, and walk away. The metaphor is a control surface, an instrument you check and leave, not a dashboard you live in.

The guard: a scoreboard for real-world action, never an engagement app. Time-on-platform is a negative metric. No streaks, no vanity, no notification traps.

Positioning

REI Boss is the only Results-as-a-Service operations partner that runs the back end of creative-finance real estate deals, from under contract, for any exit and for as long as you hold, for investors who have already burned out on VAs, TCs, and admins.

Who it is for

Voice

Investor-to-investor, like a sharp ops person at a deal closing, not a marketing intern. Assume competence. Lead with specifics. A hard formatting law: zero em-dashes.

We sound like

Color

Roughly 90 percent paper ground. One rationed oxblood accent for action only. No purple, no teal, no fintech blue, no green as a primary. The token name is the handle you type in code.

The mark

The back end for what you close

A serif R inside a double statement ring: an outer ink circle, an inner hairline circle. It reads as a notary seal on a statement. The mark travels with the wordmark set in Newsreader 600 and an optional uppercase mono sub-line. Ink on paper. Never recolored, never redrawn.

Do

  • Keep the double ring and the serif R
  • Ink on paper, or paper on the graphite band
  • Pair the mark with the wordmark in most lockups

Don't

  • Recolor the seal oxblood or any accent
  • Swap the R for a sans or drop a ring
  • Add a gradient, shadow, or 3D bevel

The ten rules

  1. Color is rationed. ~90 percent paper. Oxblood is action and "needs you" only.
  2. Status is never hue alone. Pair color with a sign, a label, a shape, and column position.
  3. Numerics are first-class type. Mono, tabular and lining, on every money column.
  4. Type carries identity. Newsreader display, Inter body, mono data. Big hero-to-body jump.
  5. Restraint is the craft. Hairlines, sharp radius, structure felt not seen.
  6. The dense screen decides. Judge every surface on the crowded book feeling commanded.
  7. Build the neglected states. Empty is a trophy: "Nothing needs you right now."
  8. AA is a hard gate. Computed, not claimed. Every pair 4.5:1, large 3:1.
  9. Voice rules bind every pixel. Specific numbers, zero em-dashes, no fabricated proof.
  10. Dark mode is provisional. Light is the identity. Validate dark with real operators first.

The system, alive

The work-order slip is the signature affordance: a dark file header, a legible body, and one oxblood action. Any proof that is not a real client result carries a SAMPLE chip. When the book is clear, empty is a trophy.
